Retail and wholesale

Get your products on real shop shelves.

We find independent shops that suit your products, pitch them, send samples and set up wholesale terms. Wholesale orders and stock sit in the same place as your marketplaces, so one catalogue covers everything you sell.

The problem

Independent shops can be a steady source of repeat orders, but winning and keeping stockists takes time most businesses don't have.

We handle the stockist work from first pitch to reorder, and keep wholesale stock and orders in the same place as your online channels.

Finding the right shops

Gift shops, garden centres, pet shops, bookshops, cycle and outdoor shops, galleries and design stores each suit different products. Working out which ones fit, and who to speak to, is slow research.

Pitches that go nowhere

Buyers are busy. An email without a clear price list, terms and samples is easy to put aside, and following up takes time you'd rather spend on the business.

Two sets of stock

Wholesale orders often live in a separate spreadsheet or inbox. When the same stock also sells online, it's easy to promise a shop units that have already gone to a marketplace order.

What we do

What's included. Done by the people you talk to.

Finding stockists

We research independent shops whose customers suit your products, from gift shops and garden centres to pet shops, bookshops, cycle and outdoor shops, galleries and design stores, and agree a shortlist with you.

Pitching

We approach each shop with a clear introduction to your products, your price list and your terms, and follow up so nothing is left hanging.

Samples

We arrange samples for the shops that ask for them and keep track of who has received what, so every follow-up is timely.

Wholesale price lists and terms

We help you set wholesale prices, minimum order quantities, delivery charges and payment terms that protect your margin, and put them into a price list buyers can act on. You approve every term before it goes out.

Orders and reorders

We take wholesale orders, check them against stock, pass them on for dispatch and keep track of when each shop is likely to need more, so reorders are prompted rather than missed.

One stock picture

Wholesale stock and orders sit alongside your marketplace stock and orders, so a shop order and an online order never claim the same units. More on product feeds.

What you get
  • Your products in front of shoppers in shops they already visit.
  • Stockists approached properly, with samples, prices and terms ready.
  • Wholesale orders and reorders tracked, not left in an inbox.
  • One picture of stock across shops and online channels.

FAQ

Retail and wholesale questions.

What kinds of shops do you approach?
Independent shops you can walk into: gift shops, garden centres, pet shops, bookshops, cycle and outdoor shops, galleries and design stores. We agree the shortlist with you before anyone is contacted.
Who sets the wholesale prices and terms?
You do. We help you work out prices, minimum orders and payment terms that protect your margin, and nothing goes to a shop until you've approved it.
Can you promise a number of stockists?
No. Each shop decides what it stocks. We make sure every approach is well prepared and followed up, and we report on who we've contacted and where each conversation stands.
How do wholesale orders fit with our online sales?
Wholesale orders and stock sit in the same place as your marketplace orders and stock, so you can see everything together and avoid promising the same units twice.
How much does retail and wholesale placement cost?
It's quoted separately after your demo, because the work depends on your products and how many shops you want to approach. We talk it through in your free 20-minute demo.
