Listing optimisation

Listings written to be found, and to be bought.

We rewrite your titles, images, keywords and product details to each marketplace's own rules, so your products show up in search and give shoppers what they need to buy.

The problem

Many listings are written once, copied to every marketplace and never touched again.

We rebuild each listing for the marketplace it lives on, using the words shoppers actually search for, and keep it compliant as the rules change.

Rules you didn't see change

Amazon UK now limits new product titles to 75 characters, including spaces, with a separate Item highlights field for extra detail. A title written for the old rules can be corrected for you or left out of search results.

Missing details, missing sales

Shoppers filter by size, colour, material and more. eBay says complete item specifics help your item's visibility on eBay and on external sites such as Google Shopping. Blank fields mean you drop out of filtered results.

Images that undersell

Amazon wants the main image on a pure white background with the product filling 85% of the frame, and recommends at least six more images and a video. Many listings stop at one or two photos.

What we do

What's included. Done by the people you talk to.

Keyword research

We find the words shoppers use on each marketplace and place them in the title, bullet points, description and hidden search terms. On Amazon, the backend search terms field must stay under 250 bytes, or none of it is indexed.

Titles that pass the rules

Clear titles with the most important information first, within each marketplace's limits: 75 characters for most new Amazon UK products, plus up to 125 characters of Item highlights. No promotional phrases and no word used more than twice.

Images to spec

On Amazon, main images on pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255) with the product filling 85% of the frame. On eBay, at least 500 pixels on the longest side, ideally about 1,600 by 1,600, with up to 24 photos per listing.

Attributes and item specifics

We fill in every relevant attribute, from size and colour to material and compatibility. eBay has said that from August 2026, clothing and footwear listings with unclear or missing size or condition details may be hidden until they're updated.

Bullet points and descriptions

Copy that leads with what the buyer gets and answers the questions they'd otherwise message you about. Clear, accurate detail also helps set expectations, which cuts avoidable returns.

Brand content where eligible

If you're enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry, we build A+ Content (extra images, comparison charts and video on the product page) and a free Brand Store.

What you get
  • Listings that show up for the searches your customers actually make.
  • Titles, images and attributes that meet each marketplace's current rules.
  • Fewer suppressed or hidden listings.
  • Product pages that answer buyers' questions, so more visitors buy.
How it works

From first call to running.

1

Audit

We check each listing against the marketplace's rules and its closest competitors: title, images, attributes, keywords and reviews.

2

Research

We build a keyword list for each product from marketplace search data and competing listings.

3

Rewrite and approve

We rewrite your listings and send them to you to approve. Nothing changes until you say yes.

4

Publish and track

Changes go live and we track how each listing performs. On Amazon, title updates can take 24 to 48 hours to appear.

FAQ

Listing optimisation questions.

What is marketplace SEO?
SEO stands for search engine optimisation. Amazon, eBay and TikTok Shop each run their own search engine, and each decides what to show partly on how relevant and complete your listing is. Marketplace SEO means writing and structuring listings so that search picks you.
Do you write different listings for each marketplace?
Yes. The core facts stay the same, but the limits and best practice differ. Amazon UK caps most new titles at 75 characters, while eBay leans heavily on item specifics. One listing copied everywhere rarely fits anywhere well.
Can you use our existing product photos?
Often, yes. We check them against each marketplace's requirements and tell you what's missing. Amazon won't accept images under 500 pixels on the longest side and recommends 1,000 pixels or more, which lets shoppers zoom in.
Will optimised listings increase our sales?
Better listings give your products a fairer chance in search and make it easier for shoppers to decide, but nobody can honestly promise a sales figure. Your report shows what we changed and what happened afterwards.
Do we need Amazon Brand Registry?
Not to list products. But it lets you add A+ Content and a Brand Store, and gives you more control over your product pages. You need a registered or pending trademark to join. See brand protection.
