Fruugo shows your products to shoppers in dozens of countries from one feed, translating them and pricing them in local currencies for you. We get the feed, shipping rules and pricing right, so international orders make sense for your margins and your warehouse.

Selling on Fruugo

Fruugo makes selling abroad easy to start and easy to get wrong.

We build and maintain your Fruugo feed from the same catalogue as your other channels, set shipping by country and price for the fee, so international sales run as a managed channel rather than a side project.

Shipping that eats margin

You set delivery charges for each Fruugo country yourself. Get them wrong and a low-priced item to a far-off country can cost more to send than it earns.

A fee to price in

Fruugo takes a single fee of around 20% of the order value, excluding sales tax. If your feed prices don't allow for it, your margin quietly shrinks on every order.

One feed, every country

Your listings come from a single product feed in your own language. A wrong barcode, image or price shows up in every country you sell in.

Is Fruugo right for you? An honest answer, including when to wait.

A good fit if

  • Businesses with small, light, barcoded products that post well internationally.
  • Businesses that want to test overseas demand without opening a marketplace account in each country.
  • Businesses with reliable product data in an e-commerce platform or channel manager that can feed Fruugo.
  • Businesses with margins that can carry a fee of around 20% of the order value plus international postage.

Think twice if

  • Around 20% of the order value goes to Fruugo before you've paid for postage. Low-margin products rarely work.
  • Bulky or heavy items are hard to make work, because international orders need tracked delivery and are expected to arrive within 14 days.
  • Cash arrives later than you might expect: payouts are weekly, but only after a 14-day cooling-off period that starts on delivery. Free listing also only applies up to your account's approved limit.

FAQ

Fruugo questions.

How much does Fruugo charge?
There's no monthly fee and no listing fee up to the approved limit for your account, though Fruugo says usage charges and other fees may apply. When you sell, it takes a single fee of around 20% of the order value, excluding sales tax, covering commission, payment processing and the cost of driving traffic. UK businesses are charged VAT on that fee and can reclaim it in the usual way.
How many countries does Fruugo sell into?
Fruugo says it operates in more than 40 countries, with more than 25 languages and more than 30 currencies. At the time of writing (October 2026) its corporate site lists 41 country sites, from Ireland and France to the United States, Australia and Japan.
Do I have to translate listings or convert prices?
No. You list in your own language and currency, and Fruugo translates the product information and shows it to shoppers in their language and currency. You're paid in your own currency, and Fruugo says you receive the same payout for a sale wherever the customer is.
Who handles VAT and sales tax abroad?
Fruugo says it calculates, applies and collects international sales tax and VAT and, where applicable, pays it to the relevant government body for the retailer. Some product categories and customer regions need extra compliance checks before sales are switched on. It's still worth confirming your own VAT position with your accountant.
How does delivery work on Fruugo?
You dispatch orders yourself, within 24 hours or your stated lead time. International deliveries are expected to arrive within 14 days using a tracked service. You set delivery charges per country using flat, value, weight or quantity based rates.
Who deals with customer service?
Customers can message you through Fruugo's Retailer Portal, and Fruugo's own customer care team supports both sides and contacts you when it needs your help. Shoppers get after-sales service in their own language.
