Get your business ready for the Argos marketplace.

Argos gets around a billion website visits a year and now lets selected businesses sell to those shoppers. We help you put together a strong application, then run your listings, orders and customer messages once you're accepted.

Selling on Argos

Argos is choosing its sellers carefully, and a vague application is easy to turn down.

We help you apply with a clear, well-prepared range, then run listings, orders and customer messages from the same catalogue as your other channels, so your account meets Argos's standards from the first order.

Selective entry

Argos says its marketplace will not be an open or unregulated platform. Before deciding, it asks about your turnover, range, delivery times and where your stock is held.

Tight reply window

Trusted Sellers are expected to answer customer questions within 12 working hours and handle all after-sales support themselves. That's hard to keep up alongside everything else.

A very new channel

The marketplace only went live in August 2026, so processes, ranking and promotions are still settling. Getting the basics wrong early can dent your ratings before you've built any momentum.

Is Argos right for you? An honest answer, including when to wait.

A good fit if

  • Established businesses with a VAT number, a company number and a track record of selling online.
  • Ranges that sit naturally alongside Argos's core categories, such as electricals, toys and home.
  • Businesses that hold stock in a UK warehouse and can dispatch quickly and reliably.
  • Teams that can answer customer questions fast, or want someone to do it for them.

Think twice if

  • It's application only. Argos curates both sellers and products, and there's no guarantee your business will be accepted or how quickly you'll hear back.
  • Commission isn't published, so you won't know your margin until Argos offers you a contract. Model your costs, including delivery on bulky items, before you commit.
  • At launch, customers can't return Trusted Seller items to Argos stores, and the store network isn't yet part of the seller offer. The pending sale of Argos to Swift Partners could also bring changes.
How we help

What we do on Argos. Run alongside every other channel, from one catalogue.

Application and onboarding

We prepare your Argos questionnaire with the detail Argos asks for, from range and turnover to delivery times and stock location, then handle onboarding if you're accepted.

Clean product data

We build a product file with barcodes, attributes and images that matches Argos's templates, so listings don't stall in validation.

Product feeds →

Listings that hold their own

Clear titles, specifications and images written for how Argos shoppers search, so your products stand up next to Argos's own range.

Listing optimisation →

Getting started

How you get on Argos.

1

Free 20-minute demo

Start with a free 20-minute demo. We look at your products and the channels you sell on today, show whether Argos fits and what it would cost, and walk you through how an application and launch work.

2

Prepare your application

We gather your VAT and company details, choose the range that best complements Argos, and set out your delivery times and stock location.

3

Apply and onboard

You submit the questionnaire in your company's name. If Argos takes you forward, we set up your shop, product data and shipping settings for your approval.

4

Launch and manage

Nothing goes live without your sign-off. Once you're live, we handle listings, orders and customer messages day to day and report back monthly.

FAQ

Argos questions.

Can any business sell on the Argos marketplace?
No. Argos says it will not be an open or unregulated platform, and it checks both sellers and products before approving them. You apply by completing a questionnaire, and Argos contacts the businesses it wants to take forward.
What does Argos charge marketplace sellers?
Argos hasn't published a commission rate card. Fees are agreed in each seller's contract. Ask for the full picture in writing, including any charges for sponsored listings, before you sign.
Do we need to be based in the UK?
Not necessarily. Overseas businesses can apply, but the application asks whether orders ship from stock held in UK warehousing, and Argos may take that into account. Orders go to UK addresses only.
Who handles delivery, returns and customer service?
You do. Trusted Sellers ship every order, receive payment directly and look after customer support. At launch, customers can't take Trusted Seller items back to an Argos store, so returns come back by post or courier collection.
Does the sale of Argos affect the marketplace?
Sainsbury's agreed in July 2026 to sell Argos to Swift Partners, with completion expected in February 2027 subject to approvals. The sale announcement didn't mention the marketplace, so treat Argos as one channel among several rather than the only one you rely on.
Can Polymerchant apply on our behalf?
We prepare the application with you, but it's submitted in your company's name and you approve everything first. We can't promise Argos will accept you, but we make sure your application is complete and clear. Argos then runs alongside your other channels from the same catalogue.
