Marketplace advertising

Ads that pay their way, on a budget you approve.

We plan, run and improve your marketplace ads on Amazon, eBay and TikTok Shop, measured against your margins, with every budget agreed with you first.

The problem

Marketplace ads are easy to switch on and just as easy to waste money on.

We set budgets and targets from your real margins, run each channel's ads properly and cut what doesn't pay its way.

Paying for the wrong clicks

Automatic targeting and broad keywords can spend your budget on searches that never turn into sales. Without regular reviews of what shoppers actually searched, the waste builds up quietly.

Not knowing your break-even

Amazon says that to stay profitable, your ACOS (ad spend divided by ad sales) needs to be lower than your profit margin. If you don't know that number for each product, you can't tell a good campaign from a bad one.

Different rules on every channel

eBay charges a percentage of the sale on general campaigns and per click on priority campaigns. TikTok Shop's GMV Max automates targeting, bidding and creative. Each needs its own approach.

What we do

What's included. Done by the people you talk to.

Amazon Sponsored Products

Cost-per-click ads for individual products, shown in and alongside search results and on product pages. We structure campaigns by product and intent, review search term reports and add negative keywords to stop waste.

Amazon Sponsored Brands

Ads featuring your brand name and several products, or a video, in placements including the top of search results. They're available to businesses enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry.

eBay Promoted Listings

General campaigns charge an ad rate, a percentage of the total sale, only when an item sells within 30 days of a click on your ad. Priority campaigns charge per click within a daily budget. We set rates and bids by listing, not one rate for everything.

TikTok Shop ads

We run GMV Max campaigns, TikTok's automated ad type for TikTok Shop, launched in the UK in January 2025, and make sure they have strong product videos to work with.

Budgets and targets

We work out break-even ACOS from your margins and set a target for each campaign. We also track TACoS, ad spend as a share of all your sales, to see whether ads are growing your business overall or just buying sales.

Reporting you can act on

Spend, sales, ACOS and TACoS by product and channel, with what we changed and why. Budgets never change without your sign-off.

What you get
  • Ad budgets set from your margins, not guesswork.
  • Less money spent on searches that don't sell.
  • One view of ad performance across Amazon, eBay and TikTok Shop.
  • No ad spend you haven't approved.
How it works

From first call to running.

1

Set the numbers

We calculate break-even ACOS for each product from your costs, fees and price, and agree a monthly budget with you.

2

Build

We build campaigns by product group and intent, starting with your best sellers and the products with healthy margins.

3

Optimise weekly

Each week, we adjust bids, add negative keywords, move budget to what's working and pause what isn't.

4

Report

You see spend, sales and the effect on profit by channel in your weekly sales report and monthly review.

FAQ

Marketplace advertising questions.

What is ACOS?
Advertising cost of sales: your ad spend divided by the sales those ads produced, as a percentage. Spend £20 to make £100 of ad sales and your ACOS is 20%. Amazon notes that ACOS needs to stay below your profit margin for ads to be profitable.
What's the difference between ACOS and TACoS?
ACOS compares ad spend with ad sales only. TACoS, total advertising cost of sales, compares ad spend with all your sales, including those that didn't come from ads. If TACoS falls while total sales grow, your ads are helping the wider business.
Is ad spend included in your fee?
No. Ad spend is charged by the marketplace to your own account. We agree a budget with you first and never spend it without your sign-off.
Can we advertise on eBay straight away?
eBay lets Above Standard or Top Rated sellers with enough account activity promote fixed price listings in most categories. Below Standard sellers are blocked from Promoted Listings, so account health comes first.
Can we run our own ads while you handle the rest?
Yes. You can run ads yourself while we handle everything else, and our listing work still helps, because ads send shoppers to the same product pages we've improved.
