Amazon management that keeps your listings working.

We run your Amazon account week to week: listings, pricing, the Buy Box, Brand Registry and account health. It runs from the same catalogue as your other channels, everything stays in your company's name, and nothing goes live without your approval.

Amazon at a glance
Who can sellAny business that passes Amazon's verification. You'll need photo ID, proof of address, a chargeable credit card, bank details and company registration details.
Monthly fee£25 (excl. VAT) on the Professional plan, or £0.75 per item sold on the Individual plan.
Selling feesA referral fee on every sale, set by category. Most are 8% to 15% of the total price including delivery, with a £0.25 minimum in most categories.
FulfilmentShip orders yourself, or use Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA), where Amazon stores, packs and delivers your stock and handles customer service and returns.
Product identifiersMost products need a GTIN (a global product barcode number, such as an EAN), usually bought from GS1. Exemptions can be requested in some cases.
AdvertisingSponsored Products, charged per click with a daily budget you set. Brand Registry adds Sponsored Brands.
Best forBusinesses with products people already search for, and margins that can carry referral, fulfilment and advertising costs.
Selling on Amazon

Amazon rewards accounts that are looked after every day. Most businesses can't give it that time.

Polymerchant runs your Amazon account week to week from one catalogue, with stock and orders synced across your other channels: listings, pricing, account health and reporting, all in your company's name and approved by you.

Losing the Buy Box

When several sellers offer the same product, only one offer gets the Add to Basket button, known as the Buy Box. If a competitor beats you on price, delivery speed or performance, your sales can drop sharply without warning.

Fees that creep up

Referral fees, fulfilment, storage and advertising all come off each sale. Without regular checks, a product can sell well and still lose money.

Account health warnings

Amazon expects an order defect rate (orders with negative feedback, an A-to-z claim or a chargeback) under 1%. Go over it and you can lose selling privileges, often with little time to put things right.

Is Amazon right for you? An honest answer, including when to wait.

A good fit if

  • You own a brand name, or plan to trademark one, and want control of your product pages through Brand Registry.
  • Your products have clear search demand on Amazon and margins that can carry referral and fulfilment fees.
  • You already sell on Amazon, but the account runs on spare time and listings, pricing or account health are slipping.
  • You want Prime delivery through FBA without building your own warehouse team.

Think twice if

  • Your margins are thin. After a referral fee of mostly 8% to 15%, plus fulfilment and advertising, low-margin products can struggle to make a profit.
  • You resell the same products as lots of other sellers. You'll compete for the Buy Box mainly on price and delivery speed, which can squeeze margins hard.
  • You need sales from day one with no advertising budget. New listings with no reviews often need some Sponsored Products spend before shoppers see them.
How we help

What we do on Amazon. Run alongside every other channel, from one catalogue.

Listings that get found

We rewrite titles, bullet points, images and back-end search terms around what your customers actually type. Once you're in Brand Registry, we add A+ Content (richer images, video and comparison charts) to your product pages.

Listing optimisation →

Buy Box and pricing reviews

We check who holds the Buy Box on your listings and why, then adjust price and delivery settings within limits you approve. Amazon ranks offers on price, delivery speed and seller performance, so we look at all three.

Pricing and Buy Box →

Account health checks

We watch your order defect rate, late dispatch rate and cancellation rate against Amazon's limits of under 1%, under 4% and under 2.5%. If a policy warning lands, we help you respond and prepare any appeal.

Account health →

Brand Registry and protection

We help you enrol in Brand Registry, which is free and open to businesses with a pending or registered trademark. Then we keep your product pages accurate and report listings that copy your products or misuse your brand name through Amazon's Report a Violation tool.

Brand protection →

Sponsored Products management

We build and manage your Sponsored Products campaigns, set daily budgets and cut search terms that spend without selling. Amazon charges per click, so every pound needs to earn its place.

Marketplace advertising →

FBA, stock and orders

We help you choose between FBA, shipping orders yourself or a mix, and plan your FBA shipments. We also handle day-to-day orders and keep stock and orders in sync across your channels.

Getting started

How you get on Amazon.

1

Free 20-minute demo

Tell us your store name or a few ASINs (Amazon's own product ID numbers). In a free 20-minute demo we look at your products and where you sell today, show where Amazon fits and what it would cost, and walk you through how a launch works. Book a free demo.

2

Account set-up or handover

New to Amazon? We help you open a Professional account in your company's name and gather what Amazon asks for, including ID, proof of address, bank details and company registration. Already selling? You give us user access, and you can remove it at any time.

3

Listings and fulfilment plan

We fix or build your listings, sort out barcodes or GTIN exemptions, and agree with you whether FBA, your own fulfilment or a mix suits each product.

4

Approve, launch, review

Nothing goes live until you approve it. After launch we report monthly, or weekly if you need it, with clear next steps each time.

FAQ

Amazon questions.

Which Amazon selling plan do I need?
Amazon suggests the Individual plan if you sell fewer than 35 items a month, and the Professional plan above that. Professional costs £25 (excl. VAT) a month instead of £0.75 per item sold, and it's the plan that can run Sponsored Products ads. For a business selling regularly, Professional is usually the sensible choice.
How much does Amazon take from each sale?
The main cost is the referral fee, a percentage of the total price the buyer pays (including delivery) that depends on the product category. Most are between 8% and 15%, with a minimum of £0.25 per item in most categories. If you use FBA, fulfilment and monthly storage fees apply too. Our guide to Amazon UK seller fees goes into more detail.
What is the Buy Box and why does it matter?
When several sellers offer the same product, Amazon picks one offer to show with the Add to Basket and Buy Now buttons. Amazon calls this the Featured Offer, but most sellers still call it the Buy Box. Since July 2026 Amazon has been removing its separate eligibility check in the UK, so all offers are considered and ranked on price, delivery speed and seller performance. Our Buy Box guide explains how to compete for it.
Do I need a trademark for Brand Registry?
Yes. You need a pending or registered trademark for your brand name or logo from the government trademark office of a country with an Amazon store, and your brand name must be permanently on your products or packaging. Brand Registry itself is free, and it gives you tools such as A+ Content, Sponsored Brands, Brand Analytics and Report a Violation. Read more in our Brand Registry guide.
Should I use FBA or ship orders myself?
With FBA, Amazon stores your stock, packs and delivers orders, handles customer service and returns, and your products can show the Prime badge. Most products priced at or below £20 now qualify for Amazon's Low-Price FBA rates. Bulky or slow-selling items can cost more in fulfilment and storage fees, so many businesses use FBA for some products and ship the rest themselves.
Do my products need barcodes?
Most products need a product identifier such as a GTIN or EAN to be listed, and Amazon points sellers to GS1 to get them. In some cases you can request an exemption through Seller Central. Our GTIN and barcodes guide explains the options.
