Getting started

What does Polymerchant do?
We help product businesses sell in more places. We research where your products will sell, launch them on those channels (listings, prices and product feeds), then run everything day to day. That covers online marketplaces, high-street retailer marketplaces, social and search shops, and physical shops through wholesale.
What happens in the 20-minute demo?
We look at your products and the channels you sell on today, show you where you could sell next and what it would cost, and walk through how a launch works. It is free and there is no obligation.
Which channels are right for my products?
It depends on your category, price point and margins. Supplements might suit Amazon and TikTok Shop, garden products B&Q and eBay, personalised gifts Etsy. In your demo we look at your products specifically, including which channels to skip.
What do you need from us?
Your product details and images, access to your stock levels, and your company and VAT details. Most marketplaces also ask for barcodes (GTINs), and a registered or pending trademark gives you access to Amazon's Brand Registry tools. Do not have these yet? We walk you through getting them.
How soon will we see sales?
Most channels can be live within a few weeks of saying yes, depending on marketplace approvals. Sales then build over the first few months as your listings earn reviews and rank higher. We give you a realistic view in your demo, not a promise.
We tried Amazon before and it did not work. Why would this be different?
Usually it comes down to the listings, the pricing, or nobody running it day to day. We look at what happened and tell you honestly whether it is worth another go. If we do not think we can help, we say so.
We already sell on a few marketplaces. Where do we start?
With what you have. We review what is working and what is not, bring your existing listings into one catalogue, and tell you up front what setup involves for your accounts.

Costs and contracts

How much does it cost?
It depends on the channels you want to sell on, how many products you have and how much help you need. We give you a clear quote after a free 20-minute demo, so you know exactly what you would pay before anything starts.
What does setup involve?
Setup gets you ready to sell properly: channel accounts, product feeds and bringing your listings up to standard. It means we start from solid foundations instead of patching problems later. Your quote shows what setup involves for your business.
What is a SKU, and why does it matter?
A SKU is each product variation you sell, so a dog bed in three sizes is three SKUs. The number of SKUs is one of the things that shapes your quote, because every product needs proper attention. If your range grows, we talk it through with you before anything changes. No surprise charges.
Is there a contract?
No. There is no minimum term. We work month to month and you can cancel anytime. Your accounts, listings and reviews stay with you either way.
Are there any other costs?
Only what each channel charges anyone who sells there: usually a selling fee on each order and, on some marketplaces, a monthly seller plan. If we recommend advertising, we agree a budget with you first and never spend it without your sign-off.
Can we change what you handle later?
Yes. You can add or drop channels and services as your range changes. We talk it through with you before anything changes on your bill.

Channels and marketplaces

Which channels do you work with?
26 channels across three groups: online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Etsy, OnBuy and Temu; high-street retailer marketplaces such as Argos, B&Q, The Range, Tesco, Wayfair and Debenhams; and social and search shops such as TikTok Shop, Meta Shops and Google Shopping. See every channel.
What is a retailer marketplace?
Some high-street retailers let other businesses sell through their websites. Your product appears on the retailer's site, the retailer takes the order, and you ship it. Most are selective about who they accept, so we prepare your application properly.
Do we need a separate catalogue for every channel?
No. You keep one catalogue. We adapt titles, descriptions, images and categories to each channel's rules from that single source, so a change in one place can flow out everywhere.
What if something sells out?
Your stock is kept in step across every channel, so a sale on one updates the numbers on the others. When a product is running low, we tell you before it becomes a problem.
Will marketplaces undercut my own website?
Not if pricing is set properly, and that is our job. We agree pricing rules with you so channels do not undercut your own site or break agreements you have with retailers.
How do orders, delivery and returns work?
You choose. Orders can drop into your existing setup to pick, pack and ship like any website order. Or we can set up marketplace fulfilment, such as Fulfilment by Amazon, where the marketplace stores your stock and ships it for you. Customer messages and returns are handled within each channel's deadlines.
Will you tell us if a channel is not worth it?
Yes. If a channel's fees, rules or customers do not suit your products, we say so and recommend skipping it, even when that means less work for us.

Your accounts and control

Who owns the accounts and listings?
You do. Every account is opened in your company's name, and we work inside it as a user you can remove at any time. If we ever part ways, your listings, reviews and sales history stay exactly where they are.
Will anything go live without my say-so?
No. You approve every listing, price change, promotion and ad budget before it happens. Once you are comfortable, you can give us more freedom on routine things like repricing. That is your call.
Can we see what is happening?
Yes. Your dashboard shows stock, orders, prices, fees and profit for each channel in one place. You also get a written report every month, or every week if you need it.
How do we remove your access?
From inside each channel account, the same way you would remove any user. Because the accounts are yours, nothing is lost when you do.
How do you handle our data?
We only ask for the access each job needs, and we follow each channel's rules on customer data. Your product, stock and order data stays yours.

Retail and wholesale

Can you get our products into physical shops?
Yes. We pitch your range to the kinds of shops that suit it, such as independent gift shops, garden centres, pet shops, bookshops, cycle and outdoor shops, and galleries and design stores. How retail placement works.
What do you handle for wholesale?
Pitching to shops, sending samples, agreeing terms and following up on reorders. You approve your trade prices and terms before anything goes out.
Where do wholesale orders go?
In the same place as your marketplace orders. Wholesale stock and orders sit in your dashboard alongside every other channel, so your numbers stay in one view.
How much does retail placement cost?
It is quoted separately after your demo, because it depends on your range and the shops you want to reach. There is no fixed price list for it.
Do we need a trade price list?
Yes, shops buy at a trade price and sell at a retail price. If you do not have one yet, we help you work out trade prices that leave room for both you and the shop.
