Privacy policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
Polymerchant is run by TapMate LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16353666), with its registered office at 18 Gaunt Drive, Bramley, Rotherham, S66 3YJ. In this policy, "Polymerchant", "we" and "us" mean TapMate LTD. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
This policy covers the Polymerchant website. If you become a client, how we handle your business's data and your customers' data is set out in your client agreement.
What we collect
- Demo requests. When you book a demo we collect your name, work email, business name, and anything else you choose to give us: phone number, website, where you sell, how many products you have, a good time to call and your message.
- Emails you send us. Your email address and whatever you write.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic request data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) in server logs, to keep the site running and secure.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don't buy personal data from third parties.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To arrange and run your demo and reply to you. This is necessary to take steps at your request before any contract, and is in our legitimate interests in responding to businesses that contact us.
- To follow up after your demo with the information or quote you asked for. Legitimate interests. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- To keep the website secure and working. Legitimate interests.
- To meet legal obligations, for example keeping business records.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Vercel, which hosts the website and keeps server logs.
- Resend, which delivers the email that tells us about your demo request.
- Google, which provides our email, and serves the Manrope font used on this site (your browser requests the font from Google, which receives your IP address).
Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by the UK's adequacy arrangements (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or by standard contractual clauses approved for use in the UK.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it
If you book a demo and don't become a client, we keep your details for up to 24 months after our last contact, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as you are a client and for up to six years afterwards, to meet legal and tax obligations. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email jamie@trypolymerchant.co.uk. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if anything changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
